This could be a problem with the toolbar. Try to reinstall it and then check Facebook website again. Alternatively, try to load Facebook in another browser. If it's not working, the Facebook website really has problems or the firewall prevented access to the website. However, I doubt that Facebook website is not working since there are only 1-2 downtime periods per year.
