If you receive an Application error message, then it seems that there is a conflict between the application and the operating system. This conflict can have multiple causes like: file corruption, registry errors, lack of updates, etc. The first thing to do is to reinstall the application and then check its functionality. Even if the application was created to modern operating systems, it's known that setting compatibility back to an older version of Windows increases its functionality. Locate the main executable, right click it and choose Properties > Compatibility. Choose an older version of the OS that is currently installed on your computer and run it again (Run with Administrator is recommended.)
