What is Download Updater (AOL LLC)?

Somehow I have this app on my desktop. I wonder if I need it or not.

This application appears when you install an AOL product. It's running in the background and is based on your configuration, it checks to ensure that you have the latest version of AOL installed. If there are updates, it will download and install them.
