You can set a file association for images and videos using right click on file, then Open with. Select the application you want from the list and then when you double click that file, it should be opened with that software. However, to send images and videos through email, right click on the file then go to Send to > Mail Recipient. This procedure launches the default email client installed in your computer (eg. Outlook). You will need to have a working email attached to Outlook or the default email client installed in your computer. Once you use the Send to, Windows will automatically attach the file to a new email.
