I get "Initialization of Direct 3D Device failed" when starting the game.

When I run this game it says "Initialization of Direct 3D Device failed. There is a problem with Display Adapter or its properties." I need help. What should I do?

There are three causes for this error:

1. The drivers for the graphics card are not installed properly, therefore a new installation is recommended.

2. The DirectX is not fully updated. Download the latest version of Version 9 and the game should start.

3. Your graphics card is not powerful enough to run the game because it lacks features needed by the game.
