My download has been on hold for a week now. The error message shown by Free Download Manager, is that the server is not responding. I am not a technical expert by any means. How can I sort this out please?

Sometimes the server does not respond. I tried Re-Downloading, Re-Installing FDM, but the server does not respond

I have encountered the same problems with downloads and it's not the download manager's fault. It simply can't reach the server where the file you are trying to download is hosted. You have a few alternatives:

  1. Attempt to download again by pasting the URL in the Free Download Manager window.

  2. Contact the owner of the website you're trying to download from and inform him that the server is not working.

  3. Check and see if you don't have any proxies set up. Right click the download and then go to Download Properties > Proxy tab.
