I have many images that have text, but ABBYY FineReader can't detect correctly the area of text in that images, so the text isn't extracted completely. What can I do?

The optical character recognition process is strongly influenced by the quality of the photos (shadows, scratches, blots). If you're using printed documents, ABBYY recommends you scan the files using grayscale at 300 dpi. In order to improve the recognition rate, I suggest you remove all scratches, blots and shadows from your images using a photo editor from Software Informer database. Also, you can try to update the software. All you need to do is to press the Check for Updates Now button from the Help menu.
