I cannot uninstall J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 11 due to a "Fatal Error". How can I uninstall it?

I suggest you uninstall it using the Java uninstall tool. Also, you can remove it manually using the instructions provided by the developer. If none of these methods helped you, try to uninstall it using Revo Uninstaller. Even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.
