Can't gain 5.1 audio on Windows 7 Ultimate.

All my efforts to gain 5.1 on Windows 7 failed. I ran a comprehensive search on the Internet and seems like this is a quite common problem. My drivers are updated and both Windows 7 audio settings and Realtek manager settings show 5.1. Can you suggest a solution?

Realtek High Definition driver has been updated to support latest operating systems including Windows 8.1. Download again the driver from the support page of your motherboard and install it. Select 5.1 configuration then select the jacks properly.
