iTunes refuses to allow me to sync my iPhone.

iTunes will no longer allow me to sync my iPhone. It keeps telling me to reinstall iTunes, which I have done 4 times. I always download it from Apple. How can I fix this? I'm totally out of ideas.

When you remove iTunes, there are services that continue to run. The uninstaller does not remove the additional installed components. You might need to manually remove Apple Mobile Device Support and Apple Software Update, then you can perform the installation of iTunes.
