iTunes or my computer are not recognizing my iPod Touch. What can I do to fix it?

you need the right driver, or the usb port is not working, make sure there is no damage to the usb cable or the ipod itself.

Firstly, update iTunes to the latest version. Navigate to the official web page, click the blue Download Now button, save the file to your computer and install it following the on-screen steps. After that, press Windows + Pause/Break key combination and open Device Manager. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers list, right-click on the driver and select Uninstall. Reboot your computer, connect the iPod Touch using the USB cable and press Scan for hardware changes icon from Device Manager. Check the Apple Support page for further solutions.
