If i am not mistaken (and i don't think i am) this program is used for compressing music files and writing them to a sony Mini-Disk for use in Sony's Net-MD players... very limited usefulness but essential if you use a Net-MD music player ... it has allowed me to condense the whole of the 5 hour Opera "Parsifal" and record it on one mini-disk ... why they are offering is as a down load to their Vaio Notebooks i don't know ... unless they include in the software for that laptop a music player that uses that format ... it does great and extreme lossless compression of musicx
