This behavior may occur if the utility leaves entries in the registry when you remove it from your computer. Go to My Computer > Properties > Device Manager, expand the Network Adapters list, right-click your Network Adapter and select Uninstall. Press the Windows key + R and type msconfig in the box. Click OK and select Diagnostic Startup - load basic devices and services only from the General tab. Go to Services tab, check the Hide All Microsoft Services box and clear all the checked boxes from the list. Press OK and restart your computer. Press again the Windows key + R combination, type regedit and click OK. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, click the File tab and Export. Save it on your desktop and named it HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services and delete all registry entries specific to your network adapter. Press again Windows key + R and type msconfig and click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services. Go again to Services tab, check all the services boxes and restart your computer.
