To place the application to its system tray, first you need to open it. Locate the application in its installation folder (usually Program Files) then start it. Go to Settings and enable System tray icon. While you are in the installation folder, right click the executable file and select Send > Desktop Shortcut and the icon will be placed on the desktop.
