How do I activate pre-installed Microsoft Office?

I bought a laptop that has pre-installed Microsoft Office program and the product key is displayed. When I try to activate using this 25 character key it says it is wrong product key. How should I activate it?

There might be some problem with the key... Just check it out from the Outlet from where you bought your Laptop... :)

There is adifference between Windows key and the office key. Maybe you have a 90 days free trial office, then you will have to buy a licence.
