Notification regarding software update.

Why is it that any time I open my laptop the system notifies me that my Symantec Antivirus is 30 days old while my Informer also states that the system has been updated to current version.

The antivirus announces you that the database is 30 days old. If the client informs you about the latest version, then the database is the one that needs updating. You should update the database from within the application's interface under Update area. Make sure you are connected to the Internet while doing this procedure.
