Does Windows Media Player 12.0 run on Windows XP?

I use Windows Xp pro SP3 and when I try to download, I get WMP11. So the best answer I can give to you is no. I do not know if windows media player 12 is out or not... I think you should try using something like Windows 7 to see if wmp 12 is out and available.

wmp12 is only for windows 7 and if you install it you will get wmp 11(i try that )

Windows Media Player 12.0 is available only in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. For Windows XP you can download and install Windows Media Player 11.0 from Microsoft Download Center.
