Yes, you should be able to use the remote control that came with your A7V laptop with the new version of Asus Mobile Theater. If you can only switch it off, I recommend you change its batteries. Also, since the device is using a USB receiver, press Windows + R key combination, type devmgmt.msc and click OK. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers list, right-click on the driver and press Uninstall. Reboot the computer, connect the USB receiver and press Scan for hardware changes icon from Device Manager. If the problems persist, I recommend you contact Asus support team.
