I've installed several times SoftIce software on computers to debug my NIC device drivers for Windows 2000 and those work fine, but I want to install it for first time on a SMP machine. After a clean installation, when I wanted to start SoftIce through Ctrl-D Hot key, "blue screen" appears and computer hangs. I've been trying several times but the result was the same. What can I do?

The only versions of the program that are compatible with SMP machines, are SoftICE 3.2 or higher. If you're using a version higher than SoftICE 3.2, I recommend you uninstall it and then install it again. If you're using an older version, you will need to use a SMP machine with only one CPU enabled. I recommend you use Google search engine to find additional guides, instructions and tips.
