There are many versions of the NICs and to update to version 1.2, you will need to access the downloads page at Realtek website. Once you are at the downloads page, go to Communications Network ICs > Network Interface Controllers > 10/100/1000M Gigabit Ethernet and choose the connecting mode (PCI, PCI Express, USB). Select the device version and then you will be taken the download list for the available operating systems.
