In order to fix the issue, navigate to Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a program, select Retrospect Express HD from the list and click Uninstall. After that, reboot your computer and reinstall the software. Also, go to Documents and Settings > All Users > Application Data, right-click the RetroExpress folder, select Rename, type RetroExpressOld and press Enter.
