When I click on the toolbar to turn on the camera, the viewing box appears, but there is no picture and the blue camera indicator light does not come on. No image appears in the viewing box and when I click on the photo button, a prompt appears which says, "Turn camera on." How do I turn the camera on?

If the software doesn't detect the camera, then it means something is wrong with its installation and the best way to check this is from the Device Manager (Start > Run > devmgmt.msc). If I'm correct, the driver of the camera is not installed properly. In this case, locate the item in the list and select Update Driver. Make sure you have the driver installed, then set the wizard to search automatically and then, after the installation finishes, you should be able to use the camera.
