I have downloaded and installed the Minimum Install but cannot find how to access the software or set it up. My laptop is a HP 2710 which I downgraded to XP and then upgraded back to Vista Tablet.
Thanks for your help!
Peter
I have the same problem in downloading for my HP Pavilion dv6000 which I downgraded to XP.... how do I download and where do I download it from ?
I am using a pavillion 9690el and lost the programme due to reformatting the computer. I had the same problem and contacted HP who supplied me with the following information on how to regain the programme.
1.I would like to inform you that to access the fingerprint reader you need to install the fingerprint reader application. The fingerprint reader application for your notebook is Bioscrypt VeriSoft Access Manager .You can download the software from the following link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&softwareitem=ob-49006-1&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN NOTE: Clicking the link may give an error indicating it is invalid.
Copy and paste the entire link in a new browser window. 2. Now download the AuthenTec Inc. AES2501 Fingerprint Driver from the following URL :ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp37501-38000/sp37812.exe
3.I recommend you to go through the Fingerprint Reader Demonstration to know how to use the Fingerprint Reader hardware. To go to the Fingerprint Reader Demonstration follow the below given link:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-45970-1&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3450393&os=2093&lang=en.
Hope this may be of some use. Paul
