You need to check with the options found in the administration interface. Search for wireless configuration and then make sure that there is a section called Wireless Mode. That section should allow you to change the way the router is working: Access Point (Standard router functions) or Repeater (network extension). After you switch the router to Repeater, configure its IP address and then you can use it as a normal router.
