when you first use a hdd in the dvr, please use hdd format function ( format your hdd in dvr), otherwise the computer will not find the hdd when you connect the computer by using usb cabel

Hi,

I am also having the same problem, even though I have already use the "hdd format" option in the DVR.

You have to format the HDD so that you can record to it anyway so i think everyone will have this done already.

Any suggestions??

Is this not Windows Vista compatible?

Thanks for any help you can give....

Get Linux operating software and load this on your dvr reader hdd, complete the installation on that hdd and put it back into your reader and put back your windows operating hdd into your pc and tahn load the dvr reader program and than it will detect your hdd in an windows operating system.

I too had this problem and have tried all the above with Linux / formatting the hdd etc. I can only assume this software does not work with Windows Vista Home Basic, or Windows 7 Home Basic. Very poor show!
