As you can see on Microsoft troubleshooting guide, you need to uninstall the DLA application. After that, right-click on the CD-Rom drive, select Properties and click the Recording tab. Check the Enable CD recording on this drive box, click OK and restart the computer. It doesn't matter that you have Sonic DLA insted of HP DLA application. Both of them have the same features, only different developers. The program allows you to drag and drop files to your DVD drive and doesn't affect the burning process. If the problem is not solved, right-click on Computer icon, select Manage and go to Device Manger. Right-click on the drivers from Disk section, select Update Driver Software and follow the provided steps.
Another solution is to edit the Windows registry. Go to Start, type regedit and open the application. Navigate to HKEY-CURRENT-USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > CD Burning > Drives folder and click Export from the File menu. Enter a name, select a destination directory and click Save. You will be able to restore the registry key be double-clicking the file. After that, click the Volume{GUID} folder under Drives and double-click Drive Type. In the Value data field, type 1 if the drive is a CD-R drive or 2 if it is a CD-RW drive. Click OK, close the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
