Is it possible to see the chats?

Are you able to see the WhatsApp chat messages with this software? Is the software or app visible to the target phone? Will it show under the apps or elsewhere visible to the owner?

No, you get a keylogger report with something like this:

So you read what the user is typing, not what the other is actually saying, so you have to do your guesswork.

Yes, it's possible. The applications are configured to capture the keys even if they're used on a smartphone. The owner of the phone where the monitoring applications are installed, won't see the chats. If you have access to the phone, the the only one who can see the logs or anything that the software records is you.
