The printer is set to print whatever you have. If everything else is printing OK, then the problem is not with the device, but with the software used to open the check. My advise is to open the application, load the check and then access the template function or a way to modify it to look normal. Alternatively, print a test page after the alignment has been completed to see if the printing is normal. In most of the cases, the lines look different because the ink tankers are empty (deskjet only!).
