I used to own a Lexmark 4500 series printer which I gave to charity. I was trying to uninstall the printer files etc., and I kept getting the message that I couldn't proceed because the printer was in use. I went to Control Panel's Add/remove feature and took all the necessary steps and I still can't get rid of these printer files. What can I do?

Sometimes the printer files can't be uninstalled because of the software attached to it. You should delete all the software that is related to Lexmark. You can visit Printers in Control Panel and delete the printer from that location then you will be able to uninstall it.
