Please go to the installation files and apply Windows 7 compatibility to ShowModem.exe and Modem_installation.msi. Here's how you do it. Right click the files and select Troubleshoot Compatibility and choose Windows 7. Then run ShowModem.exe and install the drivers. Restart your PC, go to Device Manager and use "Scan For Hardware Changes". Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers and software.

To install the Micromax 352G Modem Drivers in your Windows 8 PC, please follow
the steps given below: Connect the modem to your PC. Open the folder
containing
the
installation
files. Save the settings for ShowModem.
exe and Modem_
installation to run in compatibility
mode with Windows 7. (You can do this by right clicking on each of the files and selecting
Troubleshoot
Compatibility
) Now run ShowModem.
exe and install the drivers. After the installation,
restart your PC. Connect the modem to your PC and run MMX352G 3G USB manager and it will show ‘No Device’. But don’t worry, the original trick starts from here! Now open Control Panel >> Device Manager,
then under Other Devices,
just uninstall all the drivers related to the modem. After that go to Action menu and click on ‘Scan for hardware changes’,
then
Windows 8 will
automatically
scan for the changes took place in the hardware
and it will be automatically
updated.
(NOTE: The drivers you uninstalled in the previous step will not be shown under Other Devices after this step also.) Now run the MMX352G 3G USB manager installed in your PC, it will
definitely
work this time. Then connect to internet using your MMX 352G USB Modem and enjoy! The above trick will work on all the editions of Windows 8 (Windows 8 Pro/ Enterprise/RT 32bit & 64bit)

SOLVED..1ST GO TO SHOWMODEM.EXE.RIGHT CLICK ON IT..CLICK TROUBLESHOT..THEN CHOOSE "THE PROGRAM WORKED ON EARLIER VERSIONS BUT DON'T INSTALL OR RUN NOW".THEN CHOOSE YOUR OPERATION SYSTEM AS WINDOWS 7..THEN CLICK TEST THE PROGRAM..THEN INSTALL NORMALLY..AFTER THE END OF SETUP..PLEASE WAIT SOMETIME TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS..BUT IT WILL NOT..THEN RESTART THE COMPUTER..AFTER RESTARTING,GO TO DEVICE MANAGER.HERE YOU WILL SEE A BUNCH OF DRIVERS NAMED OTHER DEVICES...THEN CONNECT YOUR COMPUTER TO THE INTERNET...AFTER CONNECTING,CLICK THE FIRST NAMED "OTHER DEVICE" AND RIGHT CLICK ON IT..THEN SELECT "UPDATE THE DEVICE DRIVER" AND THEN SELECT BROWSE THE INTERNET FOR SOFTWARE..IT WILL SUFFESFULLY UPDATE THE DRIVER..THEN DO THE SAME AS STATED ABOVE FOR THE OTHER 3 OTHER DEVICE..THEN YOU WILL NOT SEE ANY OTHER DEVICE..THEN DISCONNECT THE INTERNET..EXIT DEVICE MANAGER,AND CONNECT YOUR MMX352 MODEM....THEN CONNECT TO THE INTERNET AS USUAL USING MICROMAX 352G..IF IT WORKS PLEASE INFORM ME..

My problem is that my laptop with Win8 doesn’t recognize MMX352G 3G USB dongle/data- card anymore, nor do other computers with Win7 (where I was able to connect earlier). Upon plugging into the USB port, the modem immediately flashes the green signal, possibly meaning that it is ready to be connected. But the ‘auto run’ has stopped working for the device. As it is not being recognized (no device), I can’t even see any of the modem software, in the modem, of course. When I click MMX USB Manager on the desktop, I don’t see the ShowModem.exe anywhere. It only shows the View Folder options. There was no connectivity problem earlier. Can you suggest any solution, please?
