What is an output file?

I'm trying to convert an MP3 song in Voxal voice changer, but every time I select a song the program wants me to select another file (an output file) and I don't know where I can get it. I'm having another problem as well, it doesn't seem to recognize my notebook's microphone. When I click on options I see three microphones (sound in, microphone and then microphone again), I tried all of them but they don't work. My notebook is new and its microphone works fine.

The output file is the result you achieve using the program. The window that opens is actually the Save as window where you need to enter a name for the resulted file. Also, the microphone can be configured from the Options window the program offers.
