Get a calculator

1-Divide your decimal frequency by 16 using a calculator. For example, if your frequency is 867 Hertz, then 867 divided by 16 equals 54.1875

2 Multiply the # to rt of decimal point by 16. In the example, .1875 multiplied by 16 equals 3.

3 Write answer on rt side of paper. In example, you write "3" on rht side

4 Divide the # to left of the dec point by 16. In the example, 54 div by 16 equals 3.375

5 Multiply the # to rt of decimal point in your answer by 16. In the example, .375 multiplied by 16 equals 6.

6 Write answer on your sheet of paper to the left of the first number you wrote. In the example, you will write "6" on the left side of the 3 already on the paper.

7 Divide the # to left of decimal point by 16. ( 3 divided by 16 equals .1875.)

8 Multiply the # to rt of dec point in your answer by 16.
(.1875 divided 16 equals 3.

9 Write answer on your paper to left of the last number you wrote.
In the example, you write "3" on left side of the 6 already there.

10 Multiply the # to left of dec point in your answer by 16.
In example, there is no number to the left of the decimal point in .1875. Your conversion is finished.

11 Read from left to right the number you have written on the piece of paper. In the example, you will read "363."
The hexadecimal value of 867 Hertz is 363 Hertz.
