I cannot view my e-bills in Acrobat Reader XI

I have just downloaded Acrobat reader XI but I cannot view my e-bills. I see no add-ons to enable in Internet Explorer. What do I need to do to view my e-bills?

Please check the format of your files. In some cases Adobe Reader does not successfully associate the files. Right click the file and use Open With then select Adobe Reader from the list and if it's true, the file will open successfully. The add-on integration is automatically installed when you install Adobe Reader. If you have Windows Vista or 7, run the setup package as Administrator for a successful installation.
