What is Crypto Shell Extensions and is it harmful to my computer? How did it get on my computer?

This extension was bundled with another application that you installed at some time. You can safely delete it if you don't use it or have no plan to use it.

it is an extension for encrypting the files in the form of certificates so that you may send it within privacy. it creates the backup of files and does not necessarily need password . however its useful for a PC but still you can delete it if you don't have trust
