CDs that seem to be copy-protected

I have a few CDs that seem to be copy-protected. They play OK on proper Hi-Fi, Walkman etc. but only play and copy very distorted on my PC. Most other CDs are fine on all platforms. Is there any software to make clean copies of the audio files/tracks? I tried Easy CD Ripper but it made absolutely no difference.

Instead of using a ripping application that will have no effect on your protected CD, you can use IsoBuster to properly browse the CD in a different manner. This program lists all the available sessions for your CD giving the possibility to know where to extract the audio from.
