My phone doesn't retrieve SMS messages anymore.

I've had my Android ZTE Merit for almost a year and a half. Why did it stop letting me retrieve messages? I have talked to Net10 support about it for almost 4 hours with no useful help at all because it's still doing it now and all of a sudden I get all of my messages at one time. What is happening?

It seems there was a problem with the SMS Gateway. This is no kind of a sophisticated device, it's just a simple computer with proper hardware which has a phone number assigned to deliver SMS messages. The fact that you've received all of your messages all of a sudden means that the SMS Gateway had problems. This is something normal as things may break sometimes.
