How do I change an XLS file to MIF?

I can export an MapInfo file into Microsoft Excel, now I want to either import it back or convert to a MI file. Is that possible?

There is no need to convert it as the application allows you to export and import the file using the standard File > Open dialog. From the file format choose Excel then locate your file and open it. Once you perform this step, you will also need to create points using Table > Create Points.
