Receiving MFC message error in Wordscript

Question

I recently had Wordscript installed and it works great, but during the installation I noticed the IT tech working remotely clicked that my operating system was Word XP but it is Windows 7. Where would I correct this on my PC? Also after every two to three file downloads in Wordscript I encounter "Wordscript MFC application has stopped working and I have to reopen Wordscript. Does this mean I need new Wordscript install?

MFC errors are encountered when there is something wrong with the VisualC++ runtime. Please uninstall all the runtime packages from the computer and then install only the necessary ones (VisualC++ Runtime 2008 and 2010).
