For the application to recognize your phone, you need to install the required drivers for your phone. Additionally, you need to have a SD card attached to the phone because the program creates a database from that storage device. It's all about the drivers which can be obtained by installing Samsung Kies. Once the software is installed, connect your phone to the computer and let the operating system install the corresponding drivers then enable MTP storage feature on your phone. You can do that after the drivers are installed. Pull down the notification bar and tap on USB Storage.
