Recordnow uninstallation

HISTORY: My NEC Versa 160M with XP Home Greek and Matshita UJ-850D drive, cannot burn CD's any more with Windows. Recording tab on the drive's properties is gone, the option "send to CD" on the right click context gone too. No adjustments could correct it. Microsoft says this drive is incompatible but it was all OK in the past and it was burning. The drive still works OK with Sonic Recordnow that came with the notebook.

PROBLEM: I am trying to temporally uninstall Recordnow to see if it has anything to do, although it was always there and caused no problems, but Recordnow does not show in "Add/remove programs").

QUESTION: Is there something I can do?

I have always used Windows Install CleanUp Utility to remove programs that had their uninstaller broken. Although the software was discontinued, it works even today with the newest operating systems. Download the application, launch it and locate Recordnow in the list then click remove and observe the behavior.
