AREN'T LOADING PROGRAM TO SICK NAV 350

Hello everyone,

I hope you're doing well.

We are currently facing an issue with the SICK NAV350 sensor used in our facility. We have two autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs), and each of them is equipped with a SICK NAV350 sensor. Unfortunately, one of the sensors was damaged recently, and we had to purchase a replacement unit.

Now, we need to transfer the program from the functioning sensor to the new one. However, we’re not sure how to carry out this process. As far as I understand, the first step should be downloading the configuration/program from the working sensor, and then uploading it to the new one.

Could you please guide us on how to perform this operation? Any documentation or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your support.

To help you transfer the program from one SICK NAV350 sensor to another, you would typically follow these steps, assuming you have the required software and tools:

  1. Download Configuration from the Working Sensor:

    • Connect a computer to the working SICK NAV350 using the appropriate communication interface (e.g., Ethernet or serial connection).
    • Use the SICK SOPAS software, which is designed for sensor configuration, to connect to the sensor.
    • Once connected, use the software to download the current configuration from the working sensor. Look for an option to "Export" or "Download" configuration/settings and save this file to your computer.
  2. Upload Configuration to the New Sensor:

    • Connect the computer to the replacement SICK NAV350 sensor using the same communication method as before.
    • Again, use the SICK SOPAS software to connect to this sensor.
    • Use the "Import" or "Upload" option in the software to load the previously saved configuration file into the new sensor.
  3. Verify the Configuration:

    • After uploading, verify that the new sensor is functioning correctly and that the configuration has been applied as expected.
    • Test the AGV equipped with the new sensor to ensure it operates correctly in your facility.

If you don't have the SICK SOPAS software, you should be able to download it from the official SICK website. Make sure to follow any additional instructions provided by SICK for these procedures. If you encounter any issues, consulting the sensor’s manual or reaching out to SICK’s customer support might provide further assistance.
