It seems like you're experiencing an issue with OBS Studio not capturing audio from your Dish Network DVR via HDMI. This is a common issue that can happen due to a few possible reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check Audio Inputs in OBS: Make sure that the HDMI audio input is set correctly in OBS. Go to Settings > Audio and ensure that the correct HDMI audio source is selected.

  2. Audio Output from DVR: Check if the Dish Network DVR is configured to output audio over HDMI. Some devices may require a settings adjustment to ensure audio is passing through HDMI.

  3. Windows Sound Settings: Verify your Windows sound settings to ensure that the HDMI output from the DVR is recognized and set as a default device. Go to Control Panel > Sound > Playback and ensure HDMI is the default device.

  4. HDCP Protection: Dish Network DVRs often use HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), which may prevent audio capture. Unfortunately, OBS and other capturing software can't capture HDCP-protected content. Consider other types of connections, like component or AV cables, if HDCP is an issue.

  5. Update Drivers: Ensure all relevant drivers, including GPU and sound drivers, are updated to the latest version.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consult the OBS forums or support for more specific guidance.
