To address your issue with defining your printer on MPI Tech PrintGuide, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure Proper Connections: Double-check that your Linkcom IPDS box is properly connected to both the Epson printer and the network via the LAN cable.

  2. Access PrintGuide: Open MPI Tech PrintGuide on your Windows computer.

  3. Add the Printer:

    • Navigate to the section where you can add or define a new printer.
    • Enter the IP address of the Linkcom IPDS box in the designated network settings area.
  4. Configure Printer Settings:

    • Set the correct printer model or choose the suitable generic driver if EPS doesn't offer one specifically for your Epson model.
    • Make sure the communication settings match those expected by the Linkcom box (check for settings related to protocols, ports, etc.).
  5. Test the Connection:

    • Once configured, try using the PrintGuide software's test print function to send a test page to your Epson printer.
  6. Troubleshoot Printing Issues:

    • If the printer still doesn't print, check the Linkcom IPDS box for any error indicators or status messages.
    • Verify that the printer is set to the correct mode that supports IPDS data.
  7. Review User Manuals:

    • Consult the user manuals for both the Linkcom IPDS box and your Epson printer for any specific steps or troubleshooting guidelines.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, you might want to reach out to MPI Tech support for detailed assistance specific to your printer model and network configuration.
