Eseecloud says network error, only on Samsung Tab 6S Lite. It worked before, so what changed?

asked by about EseeCloud

Essecloud works fine for my system on my PC, my iPhone, and my Galaxy android phone. However, it will not work on my Samsung 6S Lite tablet anymore. It did work on it until about a month ago. Now it loads, finds my system OK, then when I push the play triangle, it says "network error...". I have tried all of the usual fixes, reset network on tablet, restarted tablet, cleared cache, deleted and reloaded Eseecloud, etc. All with same result. I know the issue has to be with the tablet, as the android app works on my Galaxy phone, but I can't seem to find the fix. It worked before, so what changed? Thanks for any suggestions

Given the information that EseeCloud works on other devices but not on your Samsung Tab 6S Lite, it seems the issue specifically lies with the tablet. Here are a few additional troubleshooting steps you might try:

  1. Software Update: Ensure that your Samsung Tab 6S Lite is running the latest Android version and has all up-to-date system updates. Sometimes, outdated software can cause compatibility issues.

  2. App Permissions: Check if EseeCloud has all the necessary permissions on your tablet. Go to Settings > Apps > EseeCloud and ensure that it has permission for network access and any other necessary permissions.

  3. Check Network Settings: While you already reset the network settings, double-check if there are any restrictions placed on your network, like a firewall setting or MAC address restriction that could potentially affect the tablet.

  4. Try a Different Wi-Fi Network: Sometimes, specific networks might have settings that affect connectivity. Try connecting your tablet to a different Wi-Fi network and see if the problem persists.

  5. Factory Reset: As a last resort, consider performing a factory reset on your tablet. Ensure you back up important data before doing so, as this will erase everything on the device and return it to its original state.

If none of these steps work, there might be a more specific compatibility issue between the app version and your device, in which case, contacting the EseeCloud support team for more tailored assistance might be necessary.
