The entire process of scanning to a PDF file is done from the support software that is bundled with your scanner. When you install its required drivers, you will also have the possibility to install the Control Center utility. From that interface choose Scan to Email or Scan to File. The output will be automatically set to 300 dpi scanning resolution and PDF file support.
