Background: YouTube Entertainment is an American mass media and film production company division of YouTube, which itself as a subsidiary of the multinational technology company Google, founded by Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim. The company produces and acquires direct-to-video and theatrical films under the YouTube Movies label, and also produces and distributes various television shows primarily under the YouTube Originals label.
YouTube Entertainment has also often collaborated with 20th Century Fox (now 20th Century Studios) to produce various films, and 20th Century Fox Television (now 20th Television) to produce various shows in the United States. YouTube Entertainment is a member of the Motion Picture Association (MPA). The production company was ranked 57th on the 2023 Fortune 500 list.
