Kashiwa, LLC is a Japanese-American multinational information technology company founded in 1896 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, and in 1908 in Chicago, Illinois, United States, which, unlike most other major technology companies such as HP and Dell, funds most of its development and manufacturer costs, allowing it to retain creative control of its developers.
The company also designs and manufactures personal computers through its Japanese subsidiary Kashiwa Co., Ltd.
