Since it's an advanced product, it must be attached to the plotter because one of its functions is to print in high quality mode and for that, you will need a capable plotter. The situation, of course, can change. If you have the cables required for the connectivity, then you can attach it to a printer but in that case, you will need some emulation or driver if you're using a regular printer over a professional one.
