The company told Compliance Week that it's done producing new drone cameras — and Softpedia was able to confirm that Canon is halting production on at least some of its dash cameras as well.

"Canon will no longer introduce its newest drone camera models from the overseas market," a company spokesperson told Softpedia.

But practically speaking, Canon may have just announced that it's quitting the drone camera business, and many products are on the decline, with some other research companies recently using compact, DSLR or mirrorless cameras as the example of a technology that's on its way out.
