Why the Shift key isn't selecting a text?

Hi I am trying to select the whole row of text automatically using Auto Keyboard, however, when I try to do Shift+END on the software, it just moves the text cursot to the end without selecting the information. It (using Shift+END) works fine when doing it manually. I have this problem on all softwares I try this shortcut on. Please help
